Unitary Authority Temp Contract

Employment Litigation - 12 month Contract - Bedfordshire - Job Description
A Unitary Authority requires an additional lawyer on a fixed term basis to take responsibility for a personal legal caseload that is 80% focused on employment law. Other work will include the drafting of any necessary documents in order to implement decisions in pursuance of the Council's functions.



Reporting to the Principal Solicitor for Litigation, you will advise on highly complex employment matters with a particular focus on claims under the Equal Pay Act 1970 and the Sex Discimination Act 1975 and other releveant legistaltion. The other key duty will be to represent the Council in front of Courts and Tribunals as an unsupervised advocate.
